IRS to Offer Direct Refund Deposits in Up to Three Accounts 5/31/2006

In an IRS attempt to encourage savings, starting in January 2007, individual taxpayer will be able to direct deposit their refund checks into three separate accounts if they elect to.  They will need to complete Form 8888.  Exact details of the split-refund program, including a draft of Form 8888, are still being decided.
