This site provides general consumer information as well as a chart of the various types of hybrid vehicles and the projected tax credit for each. According to information posted to a new website sponsored by the Tax Incentives Assistance Project (TIAP) at www.energytaxincentives.org , the TIAP was formed to give consumers and businesses information they need to use the federal income tax incentives for energy efficient products and technologies passed by Congress as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. TIAP is supported by a coalition of nonprofit groups, government agencies, and other organizations in the energy efficiency field. In addition to providing assistance to consumers, businesses, and energy-efficiency firms, TIAP intends to work with the Energy and Treasury Departments and other agencies on rules to implement the tax incentives.
