Nathan Walker, CPA, MSA 

Business Tax Manager

Nathan is a Business Tax Manager with Mason + Rich and has been with the firm since 2019. He is our firm’s expert in partnership taxation, serves as an outsourced controller, and provides services as the firm’s expert witness for legal disputes, proving expert witness reports and testimony on loss analysis. He is knowledgeable in the Timber and Healthcare industries, and is always willing to learn something new.

Nathan is one of a handful of accountants currently practicing in New Hampshire who files voluntary disclosure forms with the IRS, taking and disclosing aggressive tax positions within the procedures outlined by the IRS. He works diligently with his clients to find new and interesting strategies, explain the risks, and take an appropriate position based on the clients’ facts, circumstances, and risk tolerance.

​As an expert witness, Nathan has employed both his accounting skills as well as IT skills like programing in Python, SQL and RegEx to draft expert witness reports on voluminous data sources. He has transitioned those skills into his work as an outsourced controller, providing custom designed accounting solutions to a number of our clients.
 
Nathan has both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Hampshire and member of the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has passed the first level of the CFA program. 

Nathan lives in New Durham with his wife and three children. When he isn’t working he enjoys working around the house and spending time with his family.
